This 454sqm beauty, which aligns gracefully with its arcing coastal site, is the recipient of a host of honours, including the National Plumbing World Bathroom Excellence Award.
The winning ensuite, which features twin round vanities set beneath circular mirrors, is a symphony of symmetry. Lighting is practical and alluring, while a freestanding bath surrounded by full-height glass allows the owners to luxuriate in a backdrop of forest greenery while soaking. “The spacious ensuite completes the secluded master bedroom suite and is linked by a generous 1.8m sliding door,” said the judges.
This house is much more than its bathrooms, however, as evidenced by its many other awards. These include Regional Supreme Winner, Category Winner and the prestigious Craftsmanship Award which recognises meticulous skills.
The three-bedroom, four-bathroom property nestled into the bush above the ocean drew plenty of praise from the regional judges, too. “This superbly built home oozes quality,” they said
“From first glance the detail is evident, with exposed timber rafters, soffits, cantilevered front deck, glazed garage doors and complex concrete and stonework among the standout features.”
Oak stairs lead to the main level that has oak-framed glass stacker doors, exposed rafters, built-in cabinetry and generous, well-proportioned rooms. The kitchen has a custom island and tucked-away scullery, each of the king-size bedrooms feature ensuites and the outdoor wonderland includes a swimming pool, spa and built-in covered barbecue area.
The multi-award-winning home, with its sleek lines and mid-century styling, is as dazzling as the views it enjoys across to Abel Tasman National Park.
